Drygt 70 patienter i länet kan ha fått sina EKG:n felaktigt bedömda efter att apparater som använts angett fel datum för när ett EKG registrerats.

Felet upptäcktes nu i september på en apparat i en ambulans och en felsökning visade att det fanns hela 71 EKG:n gjorda mellan 2013 och 2018 från 20 olika apparater i länet där datumen inte stämde. Maskinerna hade angett datum från 2009 eller 2010 i stället.

Det är mycket allvarligt att datumen inte stämmer, skriver ambulanssjukvården i en anmälan till Inspektionen för vård och omsorg. 
EKG:n kan inte jämföras korrekt om de kommer i fel kronologisk ordning och det kan få förödande konsekvenser för patienterna när behandlingar och diagnoser kan fördröjas och ambulanser dirigeras fel.
