Sent på skärtorsdagen krockade en ambulans med en älg på riksväg 52 väster om Nyköping.

Ambulansen var på väg under en utryckning när krocken med älgen skedde.

Enligt räddningstjänsten undvek ambulansen en älg men sedan kom ytterligare en upp på vägen som de inte kunde väja för.

Kollisionen gjorde att vindrutan sprack och motorhuven slets upp och veks bakåt. Ingen i bilen skadades fysiskt men älgen dog av sina skador.

Halva vägen var avstängd under räddningstjänstens arbete med sanering.
